BIO
According to her mother, Brenda wrote and illustrated her first book, Jim Jump, at age four. This riveting tale was about a horse named Jim who aspired to jump over a puddle. His adventures ended with Ker-splash! —a word that she and her mother had difficulty spelling. Alas, this seminal work is lost to the ages.
Fast forward to high school, where Brenda took her first journalism classes and was photo editor for the school yearbook. This experience paved the way for her first serious publishing assignment working on a special edition magazine, Elvis: The Collectors’ Issue.
Today, Brenda delights in creating ikebana floral arrangements, bird watching, and nature journaling. She is perhaps best known for her trifle recipe.
